Final rites for Mrs. Edward L. Fischer were held on Monday, November 11, 1946 at 9:30 a.m. in the Riebe Funeral Home and at 10:00 a.m. in the Little Flower Shrine at San Antonio.
Mrs. Fischer succumbed at San Antonio on Saturday, November 9, at 7:45 a.m.
The Rev. Fr. Cyril McDonnell officiated in the last rites and interment was made in the San Fernando Cemetery No. 2 in San Antonio.
Mrs. Fischer was born in Fredericksburg on September 22, 1874, the daughter, Anna, of Peter Zenner and Clara Jordan Zenner.
She had attained the age of 72 years, 1 month and 18 days at the time of her death.
In 1895 she was united in marriage in Fredericksburg with Edward L. Fischer, her surviving husband.
Other survivors include two sons, Monroe and Gilbert Fischer of San Antonio; two daughters, Pearl, Mrs. Erwin Rausch, San Antonio and Minnie Margaret, Mrs. A. D. McClellon of Greenbelt, Md.; 18 grandchildren, 1 great-grandchild and the following brother and sisters: Willie, Otto and Ernst Zenner of Fredericksburg; Emil and Harry Zenner, San Antonio; Lena, Mrs. Wm. Juenke and Miss Minna Zenner of Fredericksburg and Bertha Mrs. J. H. Oatman of San Antonio.
