FINDLEY–George Findley, one of Jackson county’s oldest citizen’s, died suddenly at his home near Cortland, of heart trouble. Wednesday night, March 8, 1911, aged about 78 years. He was a son of Mr. and Mrs. Hugh H. Findley, deceased, and was born near Brownstown. He was well known all over the county and was an honest and upright citizen. He moved to Hamilton township when about 18 years of age and has resided there ever since. Besides a wife he leaves four daughters and one son, viz: Mrs. Fred Meyer, of Seymour; Mrs. Pearl Fultz, Mrs. Della Utterback, Mrs. Ella Uttkrback, (sic) of Boone county, and Thomas, of Cortland. The funeral services were conducted at the Christian church at Cortland by Eld. G. M. Shutts. Friday afternoon at 2 o’clock.
