Frances Kasinger Sims Tyro, 88, of Owensboro, passed away on Monday, July 11, 2011 at the Carmel Home. She was born on December 25, 1922 in Daviess Co., Ky. to the late Lonnie and Clara Allen Kasinger. She was a homemaker and loved flower gardening, playing bingo, going to garage sales, and birdwatching. She was also preceded in death by her husbands, Edward Sims in 1977 and Arthur "Buck" Tyro in 2004, two sons, Murlin "Moe" Sims in 1970 and James Kenneth Sims in 1997, a brother, Cliff Kasinger, and two sisters, Beulah Cambron and Lucille Epling. Surviving are two daughters, Martha (Anthony "Mick") Evans of Stanley and Joan "Babe" (Garland) Bradshaw of Owensboro, two sons, Gilbert (MaryAnn) Sims and Robert L. (Frances B.) Sims, all of Owensboro, 17 grandchildren, 18 great grandchildren, one great great grandchild, a brother, James Kasinger of Centertown, and two sisters, Mildred Snyder of Owensboro and Doris Baker of Masonville. Services will be 12 Noon Thursday, July 14, at Glenn Funeral Home and Crematory with burial following in Mater Dolorosa Cemetery. Visitation will be from 2:00-8:00 P.M. Wednesday and after 10:00 A.M. Thursday at the funeral home. Memorial contributions can be made to the Carmel Home, 2501 Old Hartford Road, Owensboro, KY 42303.
