Canadian politician. A native of Frelighsburg (Québec), he studied first in his hometown, then went to Poughkeepsie, in the State of New York. He worked as farmer and tradesman. He was President of the Agriculture Society of the county of Missisquoi. He opened a general store in Frelighsburg. He was President of the Missisquoi & Rouville Mutual Fire Insurance Co. and also Vice-president of the Missisquoi County Historical Society , from 1891 to 1897. He served as a member and secretary-treasurer of the Frelighsburg School Board. After having been an alderman in the city of Freligsburg from 1898 to 1901, he was elected its Mayor in 1901, a post he kept until 1915. He was also the Prefect of the county of Missisquoi in 1902 and 1907. In 1881, the electors of the district of Missisquoi sent him to the Legislative Assembly as their Conservative representative. He was re-elected in 1886, but his election was cancelled on December 20, 1887. He regained his seat at the by-election of April 28, 1888 and kept it twice, at the general elections of 1890 and 1892. He was defeated in 1897. He died in his hometown.
