Daughter of ship captain George Walker Miller and Catherine (Cahill) Miller, and sister of Annie Crocket (Miller) Young Harloe.

Married (1) ship captain Christian Andreas Andersen. Together they were the parents of Elaine Marguerite (Andersen) Drake and Karen (Andersen) Bauer, who became an opera singer in Germany. Christian appears to have died in 1898.

Married (2) Emil Junker on September 3, 1900, in Kobe. Karen died not long after 1919, and her daughter and husband returned to Japan to live with her grandmother Catherine Junker in Tokyo.

She died while on holiday in Germany.
