DORCHESTER - Charles A. Lapp, 86, Dorchester, died at 10:45 a.m. Tuesday at Memorial Hospital of Taylor County, Medford. Services will be at 10:30 a.m. Friday at the Maurina Funeral Home, Dorchester, with the Rev. Emil Hodnik officiating. Burial will be in Dorchester Memorial Cemetery. Pallbearers will be Randy, Ron and Peter Lapp, Scott Graham, Daniel Lewis and Robert Schumacher. Visitation will be after 4 p.m. Thursday at the funeral home. He was born Oct. 5, 1901, in the town of Mayville, to Albert and Emma Lapp. He attended Hilltop School. He married Matilda Stasek April 22, 1931. She died March 10, 1988. They farmed in the town of Mayville until 1982, when they moved to Dorchester. He is survived by two daughters, Mrs. Clarence (Charlene) Stoiber of Dorchester and Doris Graham of Marshfield; two sons, John of Dorchester and James of Burlington; a brother, Ray of Westboro; two sisters, Cecelia Lewis of Abbotsford and Goldy Schumacher of Dorchester; 11 grandchildren; and eight greatgrandchildren. Besides his wife, he was predeceased by his parents; a daughter, Helen; and a sister, Sylvia.
