She married Elisha McCloud on March 1,1866 in Randolph Co., West Virginia. She and Elisha had three daughters, Emma May McCloud Haywood Francis, Ida Edna McCloud Parker and Ala Carna McCloud.
The McCloud family moved across the country to Weber County,Utah sometime between 1898 and 1900. In the spring of 1907, they moved to Mesa Arizona. Two and 1/2 years after the move Elisha passed away. Ida and her daughters later returned to Utah
