Mrs. Barker was born in McLeansboro, Illinois May 23, 1949 and passed away at her Taft home Thursday morning.
She received her education in McLeansboro and moved to California with her family while still a teenager. She had resided in San Bernardino until two years ago when she moved to Taft.
She was employed by the Sav-On Drug Company until she was forced to retire because of illness.
She was preceded in death by her father, Harold Roy Smith, in April 1993. Her survivors include her mother, a daughter, three sisters and their husbands, her grandmother, six nieces and nephews, three great nieces and nephews, and many aunts, uncles and cousins.
