Funeral services will be on Thursday, July 10, at 11 a.m., at St. John’s High Steeple Lutheran church in the town of Wien, Edgar, with Rev. Roger Moldenhauer presiding. Burial will be in the Dorchester Memorial Cemetery.
Visitation was scheduled at the Maurina Funeral Home in Abbotsford on Wednesday, July 9, from 4 to 9 p.m.
Marie Donna Ploeckelman was born on September 26, 1974, in Marshfield, the daughter of Kenneth and Donna (Luebke) Ploeckelman. She was a 1993 graduate of Colby High School, where she was involved in FFA. She also was a member of 4-H Club and 1993 Wisconsin Pork Queen. Marie worked as a certified nursing assistant at the Continental Manor in Abbotsford and the Colonial House Nursing and Rehabilitation Center in Colby. She attended Marshfield Technical School to study phlebotomy and was employed at St. Joseph’s Hospital. At the time of her death she was employed with Foremost Farms in Milan.
On May 4, 1996, Marie and Dale Hamann were married at Edgar. She was a member of St. John’s High Steeple Lutheran Church.
Survivors include her husband, Dale Hamann of Dorchester; parents Kenneth and Donna Ploeckelman of Dorchester; two brothers, James (Debra) Ploeckelman of Athens and John (Lu Ann) Ploeckelman of Dorchester, in-laws Ralph and Mary Hamann of Colby and many nieces, nephews and friends.
She was preceded in death by her son, Dwayne Le Hamann and grandparents.
Pallbearers are Debra Miller, Michelle Miller, Tara Scheel, Heather Cook, Amy Gumz and Ingrid Neuenfeldt.
