Marie (nee Bliss) Fagan Jones, age 85, of Exton, PA passed away on October 7, 2011 at St. Martha Manor in Downingtown, PA.
Marie was born August 4, 1926, in Philadelphia to Joseph Bliss and Anna Cahill Bliss. Marie spent years of dedicated service as an employee of the Department of Veterans Affairs in Coatesville, PA. She was also a long time volunteer for the American Red Cross and was a founding member of To Live Again (TLA). Marie was a member at numerous bridge clubs over the years and was an avid square-dancer. In her later years, she also loved spending time with her grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
Our loving Mother leaves to cherish her memory her son, Edward Fagan (Diana) of Downingtown, PA; her daughters: Maureen Worrell (James) of Downingtown, PA, Anne Marie Swartz (Don) of Bradenton, FL, Catherine Sirhal (David) of Glenmoore, PA, Jean Carrion (Ron) of Easton, MD, and Mary Jo Hoffman (Joseph) of Downingtown, PA; 13 grandchildren; 7 great-grandchildren; and numerous nieces and nephews and great nieces and nephews.
In addition to her parents, Marie is predeceased by her first husband, Edward J. Fagan, her second husband, Robert A. Jones, and siblings: Thomas Bliss, Joseph Bliss, John Bliss, Anna Myers, and Catherine Spillman.
A Memorial Mass will be held at 11 a.m. on October 15 at St. Elizabeth Church, 120 St. Elizabeth Drive, Chester Springs. A visitation with the family will be held prior to the Mass at 10 a.m Interment will be private.
