Korean War Congressional Medal of Honor Recipient. He was killed in action.He served as a Private First Class in the United States Army in the 3rd Platoon, Company K, 21st Infantry Regiment, 24th Infantry Division. He was awarded the Medal of Honor for action on November 15, 1951 near Kumsong, Korea. His medal was presented to his family at The Pentagon by Sec. of the Army, Frank C. Pace on January 7, 1953.
