Information from Pamela Pearson
Henry B. Myers, one of the oldest and wealthiest farmers of East Donegal township, was found dead in bed on Thursday, by his daughter, Elizabeth. About 5:30 that morning Miss Myers went to her father's room to call him, and noticing something peculiar in his position, approached the bed and found that life was extinct. The deceased had been as well as most men of his age, and there was no intimation of his demise when he retired Wednesday night. He was seventy-seven years old.... the jury found that paralysis of the heart was the cause of death. The deceased was universally respected and esteemed by the community in which his long life had been spent. He was a member of the Dunkard church. Two children, Christian B. Myers, of East Donegal township, and Miss Elizabeth Myers, at home, survive. His wife died four years ago. (The Semi-Weekly New Era - April 2, 1898)
