WASHINGTON - Funeral services for Mr. Don E. Dorsey, 64, will be held at 10 a.m. Monday in Immaculate Conception Church here with burial in Cedar Hill Cemetery.
The Rev. Gary Schexnayder and the Rev. Nicodemus Ampong will conduct the
services.
Mr. Dorsey, a resident of Lafayette and a native of Mackover, Ark., died at 9:30 p.m. Thursday, September 6, 2001, at his residence. He was a mud engineer and a veteran of the U.S. Army. Mr. Dorsey was a graduate of Opelousas High School and received a B.S. degree from USL in geology. He worked for N.L. Baroid Oil Field Service Company for many years until his
retirement.
Survivors include: his wife, Mrs. Patricia Brignac Dorsey of Washington; two
daughters, Ms. Ann Dorsey of New Orleans and Mrs. Denise Dorsey Laborde of
Lafayette; a brother, Dan Dorsey of New Orleans; and three grandchildren,
Michael Laborde, Mathew Laborde and Ethan Laborde, all of Lafayette.
Mr. Dorsey was preceded in death by his parents, Mayo Dorsey and Ethel Coon Dorsey.
