First Lieutenant Keller was the pilot of
B-25J Mitchell #43-28075, serving with
the 379th Bomb Squadron, 310th Bomb
Group, 12th Air Force in World War II.

He was Killed In Action when his medium
twin-engine bomber was shot down over
the target area of Rimini, Italy, while
flying a mission out of Corsica.

Three other airmen aboard were killed:

2nd Lt. Harry F Hassmer, Co-pilot
2nd Lt. Donald H Green, Bombardier
S/Sgt. Lyle E Zachry, Aerial gunner

National Archives and Records Administration War Department records list this soldier's Home of Record as Shawnee County, Kansas...Killed In Action.
