Margaret Baskey Rodamer, 91, of Harrisonburg, passed away on Sunday June 20, 2010, at Oak Lea Nursing Home in Harrisonburg.

Mrs. Rodamer was born on July 1, 1918, in Hiller, Pa., and was a daughter of the late Charles and Anna Rose Horvath Baskey. Margaret retired after 37 years as a Second Grade Teacher at Spotswood Elementary School. Following her retirement, Mrs. Rodamer enjoyed watching her grandsons play sports. She also volunteered with the RMH Auxiliary for 25 years.

Mrs. Rodamer was preceded in death by her husband, Charles Allen "Ted" Rodamer, on Feb. 18, 1988.

She is survived by her son, Charles Stewart "Chuck" Rodamer and companion Marla G. Braun of Linville; two grandsons, Charles Courtland Rodamer and wife Michele of Harrisonburg, and Hunter Stewart Rodamer and companion Lauren Moyers of Rawley Springs; and two great-granddaughters, Madison and Mia Rodamer. She was preceded in death by two sisters, Ethel Basco and Evie Rogers.

A memorial service will be held on Tuesday June 22, 2010, at 11 a.m. at the Kyger Funeral Home in Harrisonburg with the Rev. Jim Harrison officiating. Burial will be held privately. The Rodamer family will receive friends on Monday evening from 6 until 8 p.m. at the funeral home.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions can be made to the RMH Auxiliary, 235 Cantrell Ave. Harrisonburg, VA 22801.
