SURVIVOR OF PESHTIGO FIRE DIES IN MARINETTE

Marinette - John B. Derosier, 81, born in Green Bay, Wis., and a resident of this city, for more than 70 years, died Thursday evening at the home of his niece, Mrs. George Mineau. of Marinette. Mr. Derosier was a survivor of the historic Peshtigo fire of 1871. He is survived by two sons, one residing: in Duluth and one in Racine.

The funeral of John B. Derosier, a pioneer resident of this vicinity, who died at the home of his niece, Mrs. George Mineau, 2005 Ella Court, was held this morning.
On account of it being Holy Saturday, there could be no requiem, so only the burial services were held today, the Rev. Father E.H. Valssere officiating in St. Joseph's church. Burial was made in Forest Home cemetery at the side of Mrs. Derosier, who died eight years ago. The requiem will be offered in St. Joseph's church Monday morning.
The flowers were in charge of Mrs. Alex Savord, Mrs. George Mineau, Mrs. Joseph Smith and Mrs. Herbert Wickman. The casket was borne by George Mineau, Alex Savord, George Betzinger, Albert and John Gokey and Reuben Savard.
Relatives from away present at the obsequies included Mr. and Mrs. John B. Derosier Jr, of Duluth, Mrs. Emma Berg, of International Falls, Minn, Mr. and Mrs. Joseph Derosier, Racine.
In the list of survivors published in the account of Mr. Derosier death, the names of Mrs. Alex DeMarsh, Mrs. James Taylor, of Detroit and Mrs. Albert List of Tacoma, Wash., were unintentionally omitted.
