SERVICES: Visitations will be from 2-5p and 7-9p Friday, Oct. 21, at Grace Immanuel Bible Church, 17475 Jonathan Drive, Jupiter. The funeral will be at 10a Saturday, Oct. 22, at Christ Fellowship, 5343 Northlake Blvd., Palm Beach Gardens, with a visitation one hour prior to the service at the church. Arrangements were by Aycock Funeral Home of Jupiter.

Roy was preceded in death by his wife of 57 years, Patricia Murphy Rood in November of 2009 & his parents the late Sophia Hetzel Rood & Homer Harlow Rood. Roy was a WWII Navy Vet and the last survivor of eleven children.
Left to cherish his memories are his daughter and son-in-law, Vanessa and Ken Mortensen of Jupiter Inlet Colony, FL; son and daughter- in-law, Nelson & Shari Rood of Scottsdale, AZ, seven grandchildren, Ashley & Wes Finch, Evan Mortensen, Keelie Rood, Brittany Mortensen, Kari Rood, Kenna Rood & Kaci Rood and one great- granddaughter, Abigail Finch. There are also six nieces, three nephews and many great nieces & nephews along with a host of other family & friends.
