Margaret Ann Shreve was the daughter of Benjamin Shreve, II, and his second wife, Barbara Ann Swink. She married John Ball on Jan 10, 1834, District of Columbia. They lived in Washington, District of Columbia, where he was employed by the city government and served on the city council. In 1882 they moved to Virginia.
