Irene Florence Freeman Daniels, 87, entered into rest on Monday, October 17, 2011. -Mrs. Daniels was born on November 18, 1923 in Weston, Georgia. She was a longtime faithful member of Central Baptist Church. Irene proudly began her teaching career at Unadilla High School where she enjoyed teaching for many years. Subsequent to her career as an Educator, she retired from the Houston County Board of Education where she worked for many years as a Librarian at Shirley Hills Elementary School. She was passionate about her church, her family, and her career. She was honored to have so many of her students remember her fondly. She will be dearly missed by all who knew her. Her beloved husband, Lewis Gerald Daniels; parents, Henry Cuthbert Freeman and May Yon Dickey Freeman, and sister, Blanche Freeman Avery, all preceded her in death. -Her memory will forever be treasured by her loving daughters and sons in law, MayBeth and Robert McCullers, Macon; and LeeAnn and Stan Fair, Kathleen; grandchildren, Lizzy, David, and Abby McCullers; Brittany Stinehelfer; Maygan and Madison Sapp; and Miranda, Stephen, and Chelsea Fair; great grandson, Johnathan Stinehelfer; sister, Frances Freeman McLean, Raleigh, North Carolina; four nieces and nephews; and numerous other family members and friends.
