Carlock- Glenn Edward Ewins Sr. 84 died at 2:30 a.m. Friday at his rural Carlock home. Funeral services will be at 11:00 a.m. Monday at the Ott-Argo Funeral home in Carlock with the Rev. Dale Scott officiating Burial will be at Park Lawn cemetary at Danver. Visitation is from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. Sunday at the funeral home with Masonic Services at 7:30 p.m.
He was born in Davers October 23,1892, the son of Chester R. and Etta (Barrett) Ewins. He married Jacobina Sakemiller on November 16,1911 in Peoria and she survives. Also Surviving are two sons Chester Wayne Ewins of Carlock and James and(Kathryn) Ewins of Lincoln. 7 grandchildren and 14 great grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by a son Glenn E. Ewins Jr. and a brother.
He was a member of the Carlcok Christians Church. He was a 50 year member of the Danvers Masonic Lodge and the Bloomington Consistory, and a member of the Peoria Shrine. He had been cashier at the Carlock Farmers State Bank for 45 years retiring in 1957.
The family suggests memorials may be made to the donor"s choice.
