SAUNDERS, Bertha Swanson, 85, of Route 1, Hardy, died Saturday, December 21, 1996. Mrs. Saunders was the widow of William O. Saunders, and is survived by a daughter and son-in-law, Patricia and Walter Feather of Hardy; a son and daughter-in-law, Glenn and Joyce Saunders of Vinton, and six grandchildren, Pamela Sue Duke, Karen Williams, Tim Saunders, Kevin Saunders, Laura Lyle and Nicole Butterworth. Also surviving are seven great-grandchildren; a sister, Jessie Deel of Hardy; a brother, Garland Swanson of Moneta, and a sister-in-law, Beatrice Swanson of Moneta.
Interment will be in Mountain View Cemetery, Vinton.
