Vietnam War Congressional Medal of Honor Recipient. He served as a Sergeant First Class in the United States Army in the 5th Special Forces Group (Airborne), 1st Special Forces. He was awarded the Medal of Honor for action on Feburary 19, 1968 in Laos. He was presented the Medal on March 7, 1969 by Pres. Richard M. Nixon at the White House (East Ballroom.
