Harry E. Harvey
Harry E. Harvey, 75 Veteran of the U.S. Army, Korean Conflict. Harry E. Harvey, 75, passed away suddenly October 16, 2011. Born in Falls, Pa, he has resided in Glen Mills, Pa, for the past 35 years. He was previously a resident of Chester, Pa. He graduated from Eddystone High School, class of 1954, and RETS Electronic School. He worked for Sun Shipbuilding & Dry Dock Co. in Chester. He retired after 40 years of service from the Local 19 Sheet Metal Union out of Philadelphia, PA. He enjoyed fishing and his boat and was a member of Harbor North Marina in Chesapeake City, MD. He was a devoted family man and loved nothing more than to spend time with his grandchildren Jake Wade, Stephen and Kaitlyn Harvey. Pre-deceased by his parents Vera and Cledith; his grandson Andrew Wade; his siblings Stanley Harvey, who passed away October 4, 2011, Doyle Harvey, and Janice Broomall. Survivors: His beloved wife of 47 years Joan Harvey (nee Himsworth); his children Harry (Michele) Harvey Jr. of Downingtown, PA and Diane (Thomas) Wade of Glen Mills, PA; sisters-in-law Betty and Beverley Harvey; brother-in-law Ed Himsworth; 3 grandchildren. Funeral service Friday 11 AM at the Bateman Funeral Home, 4220 Edgmont Ave., Brookhaven, PA 19015. Visitation Thursday evening 7 to 9 and Friday morning 10 to 11 AM at the funeral home.
