William Neal died at age 80 after serving in the War of 1812. On March 24th. 1829 he married Elizabeth Gober in Franklin County, Georgia. He was Hebron Church elder and clerk of session from 1847 to 1856. William Neal died in 1875 and is buried beside his wife Elizabeth in the Neal-Adams Cemetery. William and Elizabeth Neal had nine children, Three died in May-June 1862 of typhoid fever and are buried near their parents overlooking Little Creek at Ashland, Georgia.
