Mrs. Marcia A. [Marcia Aroline Wilman Perry] Sweet died at the home of her son Ambrose Perry in the First ward, last Friday, after a short illness. Her death was due to the infirmities of old age. Mrs. Sweet was in her eightieth year. She had resided in Estherville the past three years, making her home with her daughter, Mrs. E. [Emerson] Sweet, and her son, Ambrose Perry. She is survived by seven children: Mrs. Louise Robinson of Massachusetts, Ambrose Perry and Mrs. E. [Nancy] Sweet of Estherville, Mrs. Virginia Coulter of Allerton, Iowa, Henry and George Perry of Estelline, South Dakota, and Mrs. Rachel Smith of St. Louis. The funeral services were held Saturday afternoon at the Perry home, being conducted by Rev. B. M. Scott. The remains were interred in the east side cemetery.
