She was born September 23, 1957 in Salt Lake City to Harvey DeVere and Colleen Anderson Fowler.
Cindy loved her family, especially her daughter Alex, who was the light of her life and her best friend.
She was a happy person, always making us laugh. She loved all outdoor activities including rollerblading, camping, skiing, golfing, and gardening.
She was an excellent cook, and everyone enjoyed her outstanding meals made from scratch. Traveling was one of her favorite pastimes. Paris, Rome, Hawaii, Mexico, and the Redwood Forest were among her favorite places.
Cindy was wonder woman, especially to her daughter. Cindy could fix absolutely anything, and if she didn't know how, she'd learn.
Graduating from Westminster College with degrees in psychology and english, she was always full of great knowledge and advice. Cindy had a career at Qwest for thirty years.
She is survived by her loving daughter Alex, mother Colleen Fowler, brother Scott Fowler (Kelly), sisters Pam Holmes (Tim) and Marty Bingham (Ed), many loving nieces and nephews, and dog Sophie. She was preceded in death by her father Harvey D. Fowler and her grandparents.
Cindy, you will be greatly missed by your family and friends. You have touched so many lives and will never be forgotten. Your daughter has learned everything she knows from you, and she cannot wait until she gets to be with you again. We love you!
Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Thursday, October 20, 2011 at Larkin Sunset Lawn, 2350 East 1300 South, where viewings will be held on Wednesday evening from 6:00-8:00 p.m. and one hour prior to the services Thursday.
