Dr. Alexander M. Spencer and his wife Millie came to Texas in 1872 and homesteded 160 acers. We dont know who was the first to be buried in the family cemetery . Alexander was a retired doctor. We do not know if he was a doctor after he settled in Manchester or not.Alexander passed at age 63 in May of 1880 and he is buried in the family cemetery.
