John was born Giovanni Trotta. He was the son of Antonio Trotta and Rosamaria Viggiano. Antonio Trotta was born in about 1853. John's first wife was Felicia DiMuro. There were no children. John death certificate indicates that he died on 29 December 1952.
John later married Maria/Mary Concelia Angiuli in 1921 in Port Townsend. Mary was the daughter of Francesco Angiuli, brother of Vito Nicola Angiuli, husband of Nathalie Sofie.

Minish, eight children, Al (Jane) Minish of Port Ludlow, John (Toni) Minish of Snohomish, Sue (Mike) Nolan of Pasco, Jim (Patti) Minish of Tucson Arizona, Jeff (Patty) Minish of Port Hadlock, Greg Minish of Covington, Gary Minish of Edmonds, 17 grandchildren, 23 great grandchildren, and two great-great grandchildren.
Jim worked for Crown Zellerbach Paper Mill upon graduating from Port Townsend High School until retirement. Living at the same address until his death. Jim was an usher at Saint Mary's Star of the Sea for many years. His hobbies were gardening, fishing, crabbing, clamming, hunting and he liked walking on the beach.
Funeral mass will be at Saint Mary's Star of the Sea Catholic church 1335 Blaine Street Port Townsend, WA 98368 at 12 p.m. with rosary preceding mass at 11:30 a.m. Saturday May 27th, 2017. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to Alzheimer's Association, alz.org or your favorite charity."
