Guy Roscoe Haskett Jr., 89, of Rogers, Arkansas, died on Monday, Feb. 14, 2005, at St. Mary's Hospital in Rogers. He was born Nov. 16, 1915, in Harrison, White Co, Arkansas, to Guy Roscoe Haskett Sr. and Virginia Robb Stone Haskett.
He married Buena Jane Caskey on March 31, 1945 in So. California. He lived most of his life in Arcadia, California and retired from Burroughs Corp., also known as Unisys Corp. He was a World War II veteran, serving in the Aleutian Islands. He moved to Rogers in 1978 from Arcadia, Calif. He was a volunteer firefighter and board member of the Beaver Lake Fire Department for 17 years. He was a member of the Immanuel Baptist Church of Rogers, the American Legion and the Masonic Lodge.
He was preceded in death by a brother, Lt. John B. Haskett, a Naval bomber pilot who died in the South Pacific during World War II; and a sister, Virginia Greenlaw.
Survivors include his wife, Buena Jane Haskett; and a nephew, John B. Greenlaw.
Burial will be at the Evergreen Cemetery in Republic, Mo.
