One of our most popular bachelors (Frank Tonkinson) took unto himself a wife last Thursday, the fortunate lady was a Miss Dowling of near LaGrange. The boys gave them a rousing reception on Saturday night. Mrs. Frank Tonkinson, age 56 years, passed away at her home Thursday after a very brief illness. She is survived by her husband and son, Lewis, three brothers, Wm. and John of Quincy, Ed Dowling of Waterbury, Neb., and two sisters, Mrs. Wm. Newcomb of Quincy, and Mrs. Agnes Davis of Carrollton, Ill., also a number of nieces and nephews. The funeral services were held at the Queen of Peace church Saturday morning at 10 a.m. conducted by by Father Gilfillan.
