BANNER - William Thora "Billy" Turner, 81, died June 12, 2010, at his home. He was born July 12, 1928, in Calhoun County. He was retired from Memphis Hardware in Bruce; and he was a farmer. He attended Lantrip Baptist Church. He was a graduate of Bruce High School-Class of 1946 and Mechanic Trade School.

Services will be at 10 a.m. today at Parker Memorial Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. Robert Earl Alexander officiating and the Rev. Will Turner assisting. Burial will be in Antioch Cemetery in Bruce. Parker Memorial Funeral Home of Bruce is in charge of arrangements.

Survivors include his wife, Wilma Pearl Clark Turner of Banner; five daughters, Jean Pullen and husband, Joe of Water Valley; Kathy Doss and husband, Glenn of Starkville, Debbie Dunn and husband, Jerry, Sandra Morgan and Wendy Moore and husband, Larry, all of Bruce; and three sons, Randy Turner and wife, Carla, Marty Turner and Scott Turner and wife, Francis, all of Bruce.

He is also survived by 18 grandchildren, Kim Trimble, Charlsa McCachren, Billy Jack Doss, Colt Doss, Phoenix Doss, Lori McCormick, Will Turner, Randi Turner, Megan Turner, Rebecca Parker, Deidra Thrasher, T.J. Morgan, Jordan Turner, Dalton Turner, Turner Moore, Taylor Moore, Tiner Moore and Kayla Snyder; and seven great-grandchildren.

Pallbearers will be his grandsons, Billy Jack Doss, Colt Doss, Phoenix Doss, Tiner Moore, Turner Moore, Dalton Turner and Will Turner.

Honorary pallbearers will be Benny Barefield, Claude Goodwin, Mallon Henry, John Allen Leachman, Bobby Sexton and Dwain Ward.
