Van Allen Driggers - SAVANNAH - Van Allen Driggers, 40, of Savannah, Georgia, died Friday evening, October 14, 2011, at his residence. Born in Savannah, Georgia, he was the son of Allen Driggers. Mr. Driggers was a certified auto mechanic for over 23 years. He was preceded in death by his grandmother Alice C. Driggers, grandfather, Van Driggers, and his aunt, Linda Majewski. Survivors include his father Allen Driggers; his brother, Samuel E. Driggers; two sisters, Rachel Driggers and Alice I. Driggers; a niece, Ashley Rothmeier; a nephew, Samuel T. Driggers; two aunts, Pat Swisher and Catherine Helmey; an uncle Wade Driggers and several cousins. The family will receive friends from 6 until 8 o'clock Tuesday evening at Gamble Funeral Service - 410 Stephenson Avenue. The funeral service will be held at 11 o'clock Wednesday morning in the chapel of Gamble Funeral Service. Interment will follow in Bonaventure Cemetery. Pallbearers will be Barbara Hudson, Ronnie Hudson, Rafael Santamaria, Wayne Jones, Dale Tanner, and Sam Driggers.
