Kristen Rusiewicz Dunn, 41, of Upper Burrell, died Sunday, Oct. 16, 2011, in Magee Women's Hospital, Pittsburgh. She was born March 17, 1970, in Natrona Heights, to William and Carolyn Cinpinski Rusiewicz, of Lower Burrell, and has been a lifelong resident of the local area. Kristen graduated from Burrell High School in 1988, received her bachelor's degree from the University of Pittsburgh in 1992, and graduated from the Pittsburgh Institute of Mortuary Science in 1993. She worked as a licensed funeral director and was vice president of Rusiewicz Funeral Homes, Arnold and Lower Burrell. She was a member of Harvest Baptist Church, Natrona Heights, National, Pennsylvania, and Westmoreland-Indiana-Armstrong County Funeral Directors Associations. Kristen enjoyed spending time with her children and animals, especially her horses and dogs. She also enjoyed playing tennis, boating and waterskiing, reading, country music and playing cards. In addition to her parents, she is survived by her husband, Robert T. Dunn, MD; a son, Bryson William R. Dunn; five daughters, Brittany Jo R. Dunn, Brandy Leigh R. Dunn, Brinley Rae R. Dunn, Brianna Bo R. Dunn and Brayley Kay R. Dunn; two brothers, Robert S. (Marci) Rusiewicz, of Oakmont, and William W. Rusiewicz, of Lower Burrell; and maternal grandmother, Kathryn Nadybal Cinpinski, of Gilpin Township. She was preceded in death by her paternal grandparents, Robert S. and Nellie Mae Gilchrist Rusiewicz; and maternal grandfather, Burton A. Cinpinski. Friends will be received from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. Tuesday and Wednesday at the RUSIEWICZ OF LOWER BURRELL FUNERAL HOME, 3124 Leechburg Road at Alder Street, where funeral services will be conducted at 11 a.m. Thursday. Burial will follow in St. Mary Cemetery, Lower Burrell. The family suggests donations made to her children's education. www.rusiewiczfh.com.
