She was born in Belgreen, Ala., on Oct. 26, 1910, to James Clark Massey and Mattie Osborn Massey. She was a lifelong citizen of Franklin County, Ala. She devoted her life to being a wonderful, loving wife and a patient, caring and nurturing mother, grandmother and great-grandmother.

Mrs. Johnson was preceded in death by her devoted husband of 69 years, Cohen D. Johnson; daughter-in-law, Nancy Frasa Johnson; her parents; brothers, Charlie Massey and Thurston Massey; sisters, Willie Maude (Claudia) Moore and Icie Massey.
