Jacquelyn Turlington Alexander, 72, died Saturday, Nov. 13, 1999. She was a native of Warwick County and a lifelong area resident. She was a homemaker and a member of Immanuel Baptist Church.

Survivors include her daughter, Caroline A. Alexander of Hampton; two sons, Walter H. Alexander of Newport News and Scott Alexander of Sarasota, Fla.; one brother and sister-in-law, Alex and Georgia Turlington of Yorktown; one sister and brother-in-law, Betsy and Richard Story of Midlothian; a granddaughter, Kacee A. Alexander of Smithfield; and two nieces and two nephews. She was preceded in death by her husband, Walter H. Alexander.

The family will receive friends from 7 to 8 p.m. on Tuesday, Nov. 16, at the W.J. Smith & Son Funeral Home. A funeral service will be held at noon on Wednesday, Nov. 17, at Immanuel Baptist Church with the Rev. Thomas H. Everett officiating. Burial will be held in Parklawn Memorial Park.

Memorials may be made to Immanuel Baptist Church, 69 Saunders Road, Newport News, Va. 23601.
