Golden Anniversary and 90th Birthday (unknown newspaper)

On January 5, 1904, Father Jakob Seip and Mother Caroline Seip (born Hegelmeyer) , had the rare privilege to celebrate their golden wedding anniversary in the home of their son Georg and in the company of their children and other innumberable guests and older siblings from our Forest Junction community (parish?)ü. Father and Mother Seip are enjoying the best of health. This writer gave a speech based on the scripture of Psalm 116:12, for which Father and Mother Seip were deeply touched and shed many tears of gratitude. After the celebration speech, the couple of honor were wished happiness and God's blessing by everyone in attendance. One of the granchildren, framed by all their children, presented them with a beautiful gift, for which the beloved parents gave their heartfelt thanks. Then a lovely banquet was served, provided for generously by the beloved children. After a brief and pleasant time, they bid farewell to the invited guests.

Father Seip was born in the Landrath district of Ehrbach-Kassbach near Berfelden, Hessen-Darmstadt. Mother Seip was born in Schuylkill County, Pennsylvania; her birthplace has been forgotten. Fifty years ago, they were married by the blessed Bishop J. J. Escher. Father and Mother Seip have been respected members of the Evangelical community for many years already. This gentleman would like to wish them the gift of golden old age!
