Grandchildren: Griffin Kennedy & Jessica Griffin. Martha Griffin NORTH WILKESBORO Mrs. Martha Evelyn Shoe Griffin, 78, passed away Tuesday, Oct. 11, 2011 at Wilkes Regional Medical Center. The family will gather Saturday, Oct. 15, from 12 to 12:45 p.m. at Wilkinson Funeral Home. A graveside service will follow at 1 p.m. at West Concord Cemetery with Dr. James Strickland officiating. Mrs. Griffin was born Dec. 26, 1932 in Cabarrus County, daughter of the late Travis Issac Shoe and Lula Wiseman Shoe. She was also preceded in death by her husband, William Griffin, Jr.; a daughter, Janet Lea Griffin; and four sisters and seven brothers. Survivors include her daughters, Ellen Stuckey of Charlotte and Carol Griffin of Wilkesboro; son, William "Scott" Griffin of Millers Creek; grandchildren, Griffin Kennedy and Jessica Griffin; and numerous nieces and nephews.
