The funeral for Dean Roger Janes will be 1:30 p.m. Thursday in First Presbyterian Church in Hayfield, with the Rev. Charles Talcott officiating. Burial will be in Fairview Cemetery in Hayfield, with military graveside rites by the Hayfield American Legion.
Mr. Janes, 62, of Hayfield, a longtime area farmer, died of natural causes Sunday (Nov. 3, 1991) in his home.
Born Oct. 15, 1929, in Hayfield, he attended Hayfield schools and served in the Army from 1955 to 1957. An elder of Frist Presbyterian Church, he was ordained in 1971. Mr. Janes was a member of the American Legion, the Farm Bureau, the Minnesota Pork Producers, the Minnesota Cron Growers Association and was past director of the Dodge County Servie/Greenway Co-Op.
Survivors include two sisters, Arlene (Mrs. Kermit) Dahlen and Shirley (Mrs. Raymond) Johnson, both of Hayfield; and a brother, Darrel of Hayfield. A sister preceded him in death.
