Charles Raymond Pope, 72, Etterville, died Tuesday at a Jefferson City hospital. Mr. Pope was born May 10, 1896, at Etterville, the son of Richard and Martha Ellis Pope.

Survivors include: Three sisters, Mrs. Lillie Spalding, Eugene, Mrs. Nellie Stone, Baldwin Park, Calif., Mrs. Alice Jones, Etterville; one brother, Ted Pope, Harmony, Okla.

Funeral services will be conducted at 2 p.m. today at Aurora Springs Baptist Church, near Eldon. The Rev. Howard James will officiate. Burial will be in the Eugene Cemetery.

Phillips Funeral Home, Eldon, is in charge of arrangements.
