Boron Resident Passes Away
Martha Elizabeth Hibbard, 75, and a resident of Boron for several years,. passed away November 15 in the Ridgecrest Hospital. She was born June 28 in Missouri but lived in California for many years.
Survivors are three daughters, Alta Gillespie and Mrs. C. L. Belding of Boron; Mrs. John King of Laramie, Wyo., and one sister, Susan Coronett of Orlando, Fla.
Services will be held today (Thursday) at 10 a.m. in the Community Baptist Church of Boron, with Rev. Earl Reavis as officiant. Interment will be in Sunnyside Memorial Park 'in Long Beach ~ with arrangements by O'Donnell Funeral Home of Mojave.

Mattie Hibbard Succumbs After Long Illness
Mrs. Mattie Hibbard, a resident of Boron for the past nine years, passed away on Monday afternoon, November 15, at the Ridgecrest Hospital where she had been a patient since the last part of October.
Mrs. Hibbard, who was 75 years old last June, has been ill for a number of years. She had both a heart and lung condition that made it necessary for her to be under oxygen most of the time for the past 5 years. Her courage and cheerfulness under trying circumstances were pat of her sterling character, and she was beloved by all who knew her. She made her home with her daughter and son-in-law Alta and John Gillespie who with another daughter in Boron, Margaret Belding, have seen that she had every possible care.
Two other daughters survive her, Mrs. John King of Laramie, Wyoming and Mrs. Stella Deathridge of Crawford, Colorado, and one sister, Mrs. Susan Cornet of Orlando, Florida.
Funeral services will be held in the Community Baptist Church on Thursday, Nov 18. Interment will be at the Sunnyside Memorial Mausoleum in Long Beach.
