Widow's pension application 29 Jan 1838, Pendleton County, Kentucky, age 79. Says husband drew pension in Bracken County, Kentucky and later lived in Pendleton County, Kentucky, till 1828 "when he removed from said Pendleton County, Kentucky to the State of Indiana and settled in Jefferson County, Indiana. And while he lived in Indiana he drew his pension at Coradon (sic)(Corydon Agency MRW) in that state until shortly before his death, and after his death she removed back from the state of Indiana to Pendleton County, Kentucky in order to live with son Thomas McGill and that she now resides in Pendleton County, Kentucky."

"James McGill did NOT die in Indiana and was NOT buried in the Livonia Cemetery. He died in Pendleton County, Kentucky, where his estate was settled in 1834. A person can't die in one state and have his settlement in another. The DAR record of his supposed burial in Indiana is simply WRONG.'
