ALLEN WAYNE BURT

Allen Wayne Burt was born June 29, 1925 in Emmett, Idaho to Charles Andrew Burt and Grace Florence Godfrey Burt. He is proceeded in death by his parents, three sisters: Hazel, Irene, and Joanne, and three brothers: Glenn, Maynard, and Cleon; and is survived by his sister, Florence Burt Pullen, who is over 100 years old.

Allen grew up in Fruitvale, Adams County, Idaho. He served his country during WWII as a Navy Hospital Corpsman, primarily in the South Pacific, from Aug. 1943 to his honorable discharge in April of 1946. Allen had two sons in an early marriage, Caswell (“Casey”) Allen Burt Hart and Steven Lee Burt, who are both deceased. He married Mildred Jeannine Flint on February 23, 1954 in the LDS Idaho Falls Temple and lived the remainder of his years in Oregon.

Allen worked 21 years for Chevrolet as an auto-body and paint technician, after which, he ran a successful Magic Mill business with his wife Jeannine. They served the Lord together in the Seattle and Portland temples of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints for 22 years. Jeannine passed away April 11, 2009; the couple had been married for 55 years. They are survived by their children: Jared Wayne Burt, Timothy Charles Burt, Dolores Jeannine Burt Wynkoop, Randall Eden Burt, and Dawn Stella Burt Rose. Allen and Jeannine have 38 grandchildren and 47 great grandchildren.

After his beloved Jeannine passed away, Allen married and cared for his brother’s widow, Helena Maxine Wallace Burt. She survives with her children Darlene, Randy, and Donna. Allen passed away on June 8, 2017, two days after receiving a diagnosis of aggressive Lymphoma of the stomach, with a clear mind and a firm testimony of the restored gospel of Jesus Christ. His final hours of mortality were filled with mighty prayer.
