HALTOM CITY -- Marvin Ray Bowman, 65, passed away Friday, Feb. 21, 2003, with his wife, Kathie, at his side.
Funeral: 3:30 p.m. Wednesday in Mount Olivet Chapel. Visitation: 1 to 2:45 p.m. Wednesday at Mount Olivet Funeral Home.
Memorials: American Diabetes Association or The American Heart Association.
Marvin was born in Iredell, Bosque County, Texas, on Aug. 19, 1937. He moved to Pine Bluff, Ark., in 1941, where he later graduated from high school. He joined the Army Air Force in 1954, where he received his education in programming. He served in Iceland and Greenland during that time and he returned to his native Texas after military service. Marvin worked as a programmer-analyst for the former International Service Insurance Group in Fort Worth for over 20 years. He worked for the Overhead Door Corp. for 11 years, where he retired in January 1999. Those who knew him and loved him will remember him as an avid gun collector and steam locomotive buff.
Survivors: Wife of 17 years, Kathie Bowman; daughters, Noelle Clifford and husband, Terry, Danika Beard, Arthuriene Warren and husband, Mark; son, Marvin Lee Inlow; grandsons, Bryan and Nicholas Haney; great-granddaughter, Kaitlyn; brother, E. Clark Bowman and wife, Rheba; one niece; one nephew; seven great-nieces and great-nephews; eight great-great-nieces and great-great-nephews.
