Albert Virgil Spillman, Sr. was born on Jan 31, 1888, in Missouri to parents Samuel G. Spilman (1857-1941) and Amelia Ann Hart (1856-1938), both born in Polk County, Missouri. [Note: Albert spelled his name "Spillman." Albert's parents maintained the spelling of "Spilman."]
Albert had three known sisters: Dena T., Mollie D., and Nellie J. Spillman.
Approximately 1914-16 in Saline County, Missouri, Albert married Estelle May Grimes, born in Missouri (1887-1973). Estelle was the daughter of Edward P. Grimes (1859-1936) and Mary "Mollie" Elizabeth Collins (1858-1933), both born in Kentucky.
Albert and Estelle settled in Daviess County, Missouri, where Albert was vice president in a bank. They had two sons: Albert, Jr. and Woodford.
Albert died on Aug 28, 1963, in Daviess County, and both he and his wife are buried in Ridge Park Cemetery.
