Businessman. Born in Marche, Italy, he moved to France in 1923, opened a printing shop in Paris, which eventually expanded into successful publishing businesses. There he founded the popular magazines Grand Hotel in 1947, Franc Tireur in 1949 and the Paris-Journal in 1957. In 1954, he entered motion picture production and financed and produced eight feature films. Returning to Italy, he expanded his publishing business by founding the Milan book publishing company and the Milan II Giorno newspaper. He died at age 67 in Milan, Italy and his widow used their great wealth for various charitable involvements and literary foundations.
