Michael Kotchman, 67, of 120 Piersol Ave, Bentleyville, died Monday, Jan 11, 1993, at 7:05 a.m. in Washington Hospital.
He was born Oct 19, 1935, in Sharpsburg, a son of the late Carl and Julia Chopp Kotchman.
A member of the United Mine Workers of America, he retired after 30 years of service at Beth Energy Mine Corporation's Mine 60.
Mr. Kotchman was a veteran of World War II, having served in the U.S. Navy. He was a member of Bentleyville American Legion Post 165 and Bentleyville VFW Post 5454.
He was also a member of Ellsworth Soprtsman's Club and had formerly attended Cokeburg Presbyterian Church.
His first wife, Louise Harn, died in 1962.
On June 5, 1965, he married Martha Ellen Floyd Kotchman, who survives.
Also surviving are three daughters, Mrs. William (Bonita) Comer of Bentleyville, Michelle Huseman of Centerville and Cathy E. Derrow of Eighty Four R.D.2; two sons, Lawrence Michael Kotchman at home and Carl Floyd Kotchman of Bentleyville; two brothers, Steve Kotchman of Cokeburg and Paul Kotchman of Parma, Ohio; two sisters, Mary Losonsky of New York, N,Y,, and Antoinette Posante of Van Voorhis; five grandchildren, Tammy, Jennifer and Daniel Huseman, Michael Derrow and Melissa Comer; and one great-grandchild.
He was preceded in death by two brothers, Nick and John Kotchman; and three sisters, Rose Menego, Stella Roach and Julia Hudock.
