Married Henry Alexander "Alex" Flood on 24 Jul 1864 in Bath County, KY.

Daughter of William T Clayton and Virginia Smith and lifetime resident of Bath County. Her death certificate lists place of death "Near Salt Lick," and burial in Flood Graveyard, Polksville, Bath, KY. The cemetery was also referred to as the Flood-Clayton Cemetery because of her marriage to Henry A Flood.

She shares a lovely headstone with her husband where her inscription is on the opposite side of Henry's inscripton.

Mary reported she had four children and three living in the 1900 census of White Sulphur, Bath, Kentucky.
