Marjorie Ann Zerkle, 68, of Dundas, died at 11:50 a.m. Wednesday, October 12, 2011, at Good Samaritan Hospital in Vincennes, Ind.

Funeral services at Summers-Kistler Funeral Home with Reverend Bill Wiggs officiating. Burial in Dundas Cemetery.

Mrs. Zerkle was born September 4, 1943, in Noble Township, the daughter of Verl "Pop" and Beulah (Benson) Taylor, of Mt. Erie. She eloped with James L. Zerkle on May 1, 1960, to Shawneetown.

She was an employee of GTE until 1984 and has since been a case coordinator for the Department of Rehabilitation for the last 30 years. She was a member of St. Paul United Methodist Church in Olney and Dundas Ruritan.

Mrs. Zerkle is survived by her husband, James Zerkle, of Dundas; father, Verl R. Taylor, of Fairfield; daughter, Tracye A. Zerkle, of Olney; son, Randall L. Zerkle, of Dundas; four grandchildren, April Kasinger, of Olney, Lindsey Kasinger, of Olney, Tiffany Herrin, of Olney, and James D. Zerkle, of Dundas; four great-grandchildren, Trinity Dawn Jackson, Kori Brooke Herrin, Landon John Kasinger and Lelain Ray; sister, Marilyn Perry and her husband, Charles, of West Salem; and brother, David K. Taylor and his wife, Sarah, of Mt. Erie.

She was preceded in death by her mother, Beulah Taylor, and brother, Tony Taylor, of Mt. Erie.
