Mary Ernestine King, age 80, of Goose Creek, SC, entered into eternal rest on Thursday, October 13, 2011 at her residence.
She was born in Macedonia, SC, on June 5, 1931 to the late John Mitchum and Inez Mills Mitchum.
She was a wonderful mother and she loved her family. She was of the Pentecostal Holiness faith.
Mrs. King is survived by her daughter: Tracy Brant of Goose Creek SC; sons: Johnny Brant of Goose Creek SC, and Marty Brant of Goose Creek, SC; grandchildren: Dustyn Brant (Jessica), Christopher Brant (Nicole), Wendy Rehman ("Bill"), Misty Martin (Stephen), Erika Richburg (Bill), Trae Crawford, and Michael Blas; great-grandchildren: Harley Brant, Austin Brant, Alex Brant, Aaron Martin, Lela Rehman, Igra Rehman, Reece Brant, Breelyn Richburg, Skylar Crawford, Macrae Crawford, Marissa Crawford, and Cierra Blass; brother [x sister]: Laverne "Tootsie" Crib of Georgetown, and Joe.
She was preceded in death by her husband: Jeff King, brothers: Leon, Johnny, Sinclaire and Marion Mitchum; sisters Berverly Stone, Edith Branton, and Effie Mizell.
Funeral services will be at 2:00 PM on Sunday, October 16, 2011 at Carolina Memorial Funeral Home Chapel, 7113 Rivers Avenue, North Charleston SC 29406. The family will receive friends on Saturday, October 15, 2011 from 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM at the Funeral Home. The family is gratefully accepting floral tributes in honor of Mrs. Mary King.
