Mildred Pauline Mills, 71, of Arab died Thursday, Oct. 13, 2011, at her residence.
Mrs. Mills was born Sept. 23, 1940, in Vicksburg, Miss., to Berlon Lee Parkerson and Ruby Howell Parkerson. She was married to Jack Wright Mills, who preceded her in death May 31, 2006.
She worked as personnel director for Bradford Rehabilitation and was a member of Mount Tabor Baptist Church.
She is survived two daughters and son-in-law: Jackie Maddux and Paula and Lynn Lemons of Arab; son and daughter-in-law: Wayne and Carol Mills of Nashville, Tenn.; five grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren; mother: Ruby Neel of Arab; brother: Albert Lee Parkerson of Vicksburg; and a stepbrother and stepsister-in-law: Michael and Sherry Neel of Nashville, Tenn.
She was preceded in death by a daughter: Shiela Walker; and two grandchildren.
The funeral was at 2 p.m. Sunday, Oct. 16, 2011, at Arab Heritage Memorial Chapel with Michael King officiating. Burial was in Brookwood Cemetery.
Pallbearers were Michael Cobb, Jake Lemons, Lynn Lemons, Thomas Maddux, Wayne Mills, Michael Neel and Chad Richards.
